A Little Weird

reality bizarres the standard

August 17th, 2007 by SeanALW Advertisement

My dad had an idea for promoting A Little Weird, and wanted to turn it into a short video.  Somehow he convinced me to play along :-P.  I was skeptical at first, but I’m fairly pleased at the outcome now that we’ve finished.  That’s me in the video.  Please leave comments because my father wants to know what everyone thinks about it.

Haha, nice idea. Is that legal? =P Wasn’t that skull hard to paint? :O

  2. Renodin Says:

It was good, but it didn’t really get to the point quick enough. It could have been better if it were 1 or 2 minutes shorter. And I’m guessing you didn’t really paint that billboard and just used a computer to put that on. If you did paint it…cool!

  3. Sugomi Says:

Yes… I agree completely with Renodin. I think it needs to be shorter and more to the point.

  4. Hunaynay Says:

I agree as well. A quick shot of running into Home Depot would imply what you took time to show. But the last minute was very good. I like how the paper was used to make us interested at the beginning (not knowing what you wrote), only to show us after the fact that “The Plan” was something completely beyond painting.

(Sorry, I’m checking your blog as I write analytical essays for English, so I’m my language’s very non-1337)

    And nice painting! :P

Nice video. I agree it should be a bit shorter and I think I’d also suggest maybe removing some of the the fancy transitions.

I like it a lot though.

  6. Dash Says:

    I liked the ending,
so.. what are you going to do with this video anyway?
if you still read the comments nowadays :)

Hey i have to say, i hope you can post this to the community, but i have discovered something that many out there might know, but to those few it will help here it goes. I’ve been studying nlp, and hypnosis, along with the much material written by masters of martial arts, and those people have been using many of these techniques, whilst completely denying the “psychic” bit of it, i mean i heard a very professional and well reknown nlp master, kenrick cleveland who completly denied the fact that what he was doing with energy, had anything to do with “psychic phenomina” I have found that although many may deny the true nature of what there intense “visualizing techniques” actually are, they use it just as you would for similar yet different reasons. I won’t go much further in depth but yes, psipog, and all its articles are absolutly true, and work for many people who try and practice it. Of course this was just for all of those out there who didn’t already know this, and thank you.

  8. Gumby Says:

I’d just let who found out get it. Too many people would be here if it was a billboard. I wouldnt want too many people to know about this. :-)

  9. Sean Says:

We didn’t really paint on the billboard - that was all digital :-).

Dash - of course I read the comments! :-P Not sure what I’m going to do with the video… maybe put it on the front page to grab people’s attention right away. We’ll see.

lookatthefacts - Yep. One guy I find interesting is Bronnikov. Google the “Bronnikov Method” - a lot of his techniques are very similar to PsiPog’s.

  10. Hey_you Says:

Sean- You look like the lead singer of the band weezer–at least to me.

    Nice video.

  11. Renodin Says:

You know, Sean, you also look like this guy I saw working at a store called Vintage Stock. And you also look like this guy I saw selling fireworks. But, it was probably somebody else.

  12. cinderwild Says:

Whoa, this is weird, because I could’ve sworn I’ve seen him at a local fair selling balloons, a hair saloon getting his haircut, and at an alabama airport.

  13. kiepmad Says:

Nice vid, a littl’ to long though. Never mind. :D

  14. jesse Says:

I think it was too short and got to the point TOO QUICKLY!!!

You guys just think you see Sean everywhere because he’s astrally projecting himself into those positions. He’s like an agent in the matrix!

Or could it be your subconscious placing Sean and his topics at the forefront of your mind, telling you to spend more time focusing on these things rather than fireworks, music, or clothing.

  15. Krin Says:

yeah, I agree it was kinda long, but it was still awesome =)

that song was sway by lostprophets, right?
    awesome band!

  16. agony of the mind Says:

tarantado ka!!! pininturahan mo un? waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaHhhhhhh!!!!! makulong ka sana!!! in short duHHhh?!

  17. sci_eye Says:

it bilt up a good amount of tension i have to say i liked it over all but if you do another vidieo i would sugjest dramitizind in some more places and useing more of a selection of transitions in short your consept was good but the film making stands out as poor as a disney chanle movie

  18. Psi Master Says:

Very creative Sean, I thought the video was really cool.

The design on the billboard looked great after that paint, really cool music too =)

  19. Wolfleo Says:

awsome vid Sean, you should make a new one soon with some of the members of ALW

  20. Tiger_shark Says:

I like it , it keeps people interested until the very end and you get your point across. Not to mention it doesn’t indicate anything about what the site actually covers, wich leaves viewers wanting to see for themselves what your site is all about. Great job
